ABOUT THE OFFICE
The Office for Public Procurement is the central government body responsible for public procurement, established on January 1, 2000. It carries out its duties under the provisions of Act No. 343/2015 Coll. on Public Procurement, along with its amendments and supplements to certain acts.
The Office's primary competencies include exercising state administration in the area of public procurement, overseeing compliance in public procurement processes, and actively collaborating with the European Commission and international partner institutions on public procurement matters. It is also responsible for publishing and managing the electronic version of the Public Procurement Bulletin, as well as providing methodological guidance and training for entities involved in public procurement.
The Office adheres to a public procurement policy grounded in the principles of transparency, non-discrimination, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, equal treatment, and the promotion of competition.
